Private beta terms
Version of 14 May 2026 — applicable to the Singulr private beta.
1. Purpose
These terms govern access to and use of the private beta of the Singulr service, hereinafter "the Service". The Service is a managed Git forge, based on the free software Forgejo, operated by Singulr ASBL.
Signing up to the beta constitutes unreserved acceptance of these terms.
2. Operator identity
Singulr is a commercial brand operated by:
Singulr ASBL
Non-profit association under Belgian law
Registered office: Avenue Louise 231, 1050 Brussels, Belgium
BCE: [BCE À COMPLÉTER POST-DÉPÔT E-GREFFE]
Contact: contact@singulr.be
3. Nature of the beta
The Singulr private beta is a closed, free, time-limited testing phase preceding the launch of a commercial offering, by invitation. It is aimed at selected users who agree to test the Service in its current state.
The Service is provided "as is", without warranty of availability, performance, or continuity.
Access to the beta may be suspended, modified or withdrawn at any time, without notice or compensation.
4. Free of charge
Access to the private beta is free of charge. No financial consideration is required from the user during this phase.
At the end of the beta, access to the Service will switch to a commercial offering. The pricing and contractual conditions will be communicated with reasonable notice. The user will remain free not to subscribe and to recover their data under the conditions provided in Article 7.
5. Service level
No service-level agreement (SLA) is provided during the beta. Singulr ASBL does not in particular guarantee:
- uninterrupted availability of the Service;
- data retention in the event of an incident;
- backward compatibility of features from one version to another;
- response times to support requests.
Backups are performed as part of the routine operation of the Service, but do not constitute a contractual obligation of result. Each user is advised to keep a local copy of their code.
6. User obligations
The user undertakes to:
- provide accurate information when signing up;
- preserve the confidentiality of their credentials;
- host on the Service no illegal content (in particular: copyrighted content without authorisation, child sexual abuse material, incitement to hatred, malware, content infringing the privacy of third parties);
- not use the Service to carry out activities harming its integrity or that of third parties (attacks, scans, exploitation of vulnerabilities, hosting of malicious infrastructure);
- respect the licences of the software and libraries used.
Any breach may lead to the immediate suspension or deletion of the account, without notice.
7. Data and portability
The user remains the owner of the code and content they host on the Service. Singulr ASBL acquires no rights over this content, apart from the technical rights necessary to operate the Service.
The user may at any time export their Git repositories using the standard means of the Git protocol (git clone, git push to another host).
In the event that Singulr ASBL discontinues the Service:
- reasonable notice is given to active users by email;
- repositories remain accessible for reading and exportable for a reasonable period from the announced discontinuation date;
- after that period, data may be irreversibly deleted.
Singulr ASBL endeavours, where possible, to provide at least 30 days' notice and at least 30 days' read access after discontinuation.
The terms of processing of personal data are detailed in the privacy policy.
8. Intellectual property
The "Singulr" trademark, the singulr.be site, its visual identity and all the editorial elements that make it up are the property of Singulr ASBL.
The software underlying the Service is Forgejo, published under the GPL v3+ licence, along with other open-source components. The applicable licences are available on request.
9. Liability
Given the free and experimental nature of the beta, the liability of Singulr ASBL is strictly limited to the following.
Singulr ASBL may not be held liable for:
- any loss or alteration of data;
- any total or partial unavailability of the Service;
- any loss of business, loss of opportunity, loss of revenue or any indirect damage;
- the content hosted by users;
- the interruption or discontinuation of the Service.
This limitation does not apply in the event of gross fault or wilful misconduct by Singulr ASBL, nor in the event of harm to the physical integrity of persons, in accordance with the mandatory provisions of Belgian law.
10. Hosting and subcontracting
The Service is hosted in Belgium, at Behostings.com (Diogenius SPRL, Belgium), in the InterXion Brussels datacenters (Zaventem and Nossegem). No data is transferred outside the European Union as part of the routine operation of the Service.
Any processors and their location are described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to the terms
Singulr ASBL may amend these terms. Any substantial change is notified to registered users by email, with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Service after notification constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
12. Termination
The user may terminate their beta access at any time, without reason, by requesting the deletion of their account at contact@singulr.be.
Singulr ASBL may terminate a user's access in the event of a breach of these terms, or for any other reason related to the operation of the Service, without notice or compensation, in compliance with applicable law.
13. Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Belgian law.
Any dispute relating to their formation, interpretation or performance falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the French-speaking business courts of Brussels, without prejudice to the public-order rules applicable to consumers.
14. Contact
Any question relating to these terms may be addressed to contact@singulr.be.
